we know that , potential energy = mgh
here work done is equal to energy consumed....so we take potential energy is equal to work done...
so potential energy = 1 joule.
1 joule = mgh = 0.5 × 9.8 × h = 4.9 h
so ,. h = 1 ÷ ( 4.9 ) = 0.20 metre
so height to which it will be raised is 0.20 m
