\bold\pink{Given:}

\sf{Potential  \: Energy ,PE = 2 J}

\sf{Mass ,m = 0.05 kg}

\sf{The  \: acceleration \:  due  \: to \:  gravity,g}   \sf{= 10 m/s^2}

\bold\pink{To\: Find:}

\sf{How \:  high  \: will  \: the  \: book  \: rise = ?}

\bold\pink{Concept:}

\sf{The  \: energy  \: possess  \: by \:  body  \: due \:  to} \sf{its  \: position \:  is \:  called  \: Potential  \: Energy}

\bold\pink{Solution:}

Formula to be used,

\small\underline{\boxed{\sf\;\;PE = mgh}}

\underline{\underline{\textsf {Putting values in the above formula: }}}

\sf{\implies 2 = 0.05  \times  10  \times  h}

\sf{\implies 2 = 0.5 \times h}

\sf{\implies h = \dfrac{2}{0.5}}

\sf{\implies h = \dfrac{20}{5}}

\sf{\implies h = 4 m}

\sf{Hence,}

\sf{The  \: book  \: will  \:  rise  \:  4 \: meters\:high}

Answer:

4 metres

Explanation:

Gravitational Potential Energy (G.P.E) = Mass (m) * Acceleration due to gravity (g) * Height (h)

2 = 0.05 * 10 * h

h = 2/0.5

h = 4 m
