If you apply a net force of 3 Newton on 100 gram box what is the acceleration of the box?
Pls tell with formula whole explanation

force = mass × acceleration
so,

3 = 100/1000 × acceleration
3 = 1/10 × acceleration
acceleration = 30 m/s^2

so, the acceleration in the box would be 30m/s^2.

Ayushp4: Why have u do
stevesjane: ??
Ayushp4: 100/1000
Ayushp4: Is it in kg u r converting
stevesjane: changed that into kilograms first... as newton = kg.m/s^2 so, you can't use grams directly to get newtons ..... so you have to first change it into SI unit of mass which is kilograms
stevesjane: got that?
stevesjane: you're welcome
Ayushp4: Thx

Hey

We know that F (force) = m (mass) * a (acceleration).

F = 3 N and m = 100 g = 0.1 kg

3 = 0.1 * a

a = 3/0.1 = 30 m/s^2

Hope this helps
