If a force is applied on an object in the following things can possibly happen -
- If the object was in the rest then the object might obtain some kind of motion, due to the external force application.
- If the object was in the motion then the object might get stopped into the state of rest, due to the external resisting force application.
- If the applied force exceeds the elasticity limitations of the object, then physical deformation can also take place due to the application of the deforming forces.
- The effect of the force can be zero if the amount of force is unable to perform any of the above mentioned activities.

HELLO DEAR,
If the force is applied on object such that ball , there are some possibily are listed below.
- If the ball is at the rest position then if we apply some force then definetly it's get some acceleration ( if ball have no other external force applied).
- If ball is in motion and then force is applied then there is two condition generly
a) if force is along the direction of motion then it's increase its speed.
b) if applied force is opposite to the motion of ball then ball decrease its speed.
I HOPE IT'S HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS
