Solution 1)

Given

principal--196
Rate--?
Time--2 Years
Amount-- 225

By Formula

Amount= Principal (1+Rate%/100)n(Time)

225= 196(100+Rate%/100)²

225/196=(100+Rate%/100)²

Convert them into Simplest Form

(15/14)²= (100+Rate%/100)²

Compare the Degrees

15/14= 100+Rate%/100

#_Cross_Multiply

15×100=14×100+14×R

1500=1400+14R

Transfer 1400 to L.H.S

1500-1400=14R

100= 14 R

Rate = 100/14=7.1428%

345= Amount-3136
Amount= 345+3136= 3481
