If you are given 3 unknown solutions and only red litmus paper, how will you identify the 3 unknown solutions as acid , base and salts.​

base will change color of litmus paper to blue

in acid and salts , color of litmus will be unchanged

now mix any of the 2 solutions with base

if it is salt so base+salt=base so litmus will change to blue

if it is acid:base+acid = neutral so the litmus will be red

so the solutions are identified

Assuming that the given salt is neutral

Dip the given litmus paper in each of the given three solutions.

The base will convert the red litmus into blue. Keep the basicm solution aside.

Now divide the blue litmus paper into two and dip each into the remaining two solutions. The acidic solution will turn the blue litmus red. The solution that remains is neutral (salt)
