n=given mass /molar mass

nCH4=64/16 CH4=12+4=16

nCH4=4moles

comparing the given data

1-------2 (one mole of methane gives 2 moles of water) (given data)

4------x (four moles of methane gives x moles of water) (eqn data)

by cross multiplying

x=8 (n=8)

then,

to calculate the mass of H20

= n=x/m

8=x/18 ( H20= 2+16=18 )

x=144g
