Plant cells have cell walls outside the cell membrane. Animals cells doesn't have any cell wall.

The shape of plant cells are generally square or rectangle. The slide contains cells with square shape cells, that means the cells are plant cells. If the slide has oval or round shape cells , the cells are animal cells. Large vacuoles are visible only under the slides of plant cells.

Thus, the difference on the basis of cell shape and vacuoles can be used to identify plant and animal cells.
