1 Try to get the Patriot Act repealed
2 Push for an immigration bill that punishes businesses who hire illegal aliens with jail time yet allow businesses to sponsor legal immigrants to expedite citizenship.
3 Decentralize the national government. Move governmental agencies to cities with declining populations that have a good infrastructure, like Cleveland, Detroit, maybe put the EPA in Gary, Indiana. This would remove the Washington DC influence on agencies and allow them to do their job.
4 Change the policy of student loans so that engineering and medical degrees can get increased access to federal grants and lower interest rate loans. Get rid of federal grants for degrees that have a low chance of occupation in that field such as most liberal arts degrees.
5 Change the federal statute on illegal drugs. Make a maximum sentence of life in prison unless the person names the person they bought the drugs from. The person who names their drug dealer will be placed in drug treatment programs and the drug dealer will face life imprisonment unless they name their suppliers. Freeze drug dealer assets and use funds for border protection and drug addiction recovery.
