Solution:

The given number is 508

First move:

Take out the middle match stick from the last digit of given number 508, that is, from the digit 8.

Place that match stick on the first digit of given number 508, that is, five (as shown in the figure).

So, as of now, we get a new number, 900.

Second move:

Take out the left second match stick from the middle digit of obtained number 900, that is, from the digit 0.

Place that match stick on the middle digit of obtained number 900, that is, zero (as shown in the figure).

So, we get a new number, 990.
