If I was given the choice to change anything in the story that would be its ending instead of the Swallow dying of winter in the end I would change it to living happily ever after and helping the Happy Prince with many more people to end their poverty. Also the Happy Prince instead of getting molded by a smith-man would get re-embellished and embossed with gold again.
