Air exerts pressure- Suppose, we take a glass filled with water till it's brim and insert a cardboard piece in it's mouth and turn it upside down, we can see that the carboard piece does not fall off. This is because air exerts presure

Air expands on heating-In a hot air balloon when the air is heated the density of it becomes low and hence the volume of the air increases or expands

High speed wind is accompanied by low pressure- Suppose, we take a paper strip and hold it in our mouth and blow over it's top and we can see that the paper strip rises up. This is because when you blow air, a region of low pressure is created. Therefore, the air from the other sides will try push in and occupy this space of low pressure.
