Well your question is a bit unclear . Calcium makes up 40% of Calcium Carbonate . It's atomic mass is around 40 u . Therefore , I suggest Option b is correct .

1C atom molar mass = 12

1Oxygen atom molar mass = 16

Total = 40+12+16×3 =100

%Ca= 10040×100

=40%

The equivalent weight of Ca in CaCO3 is 40
