Before answering your question, I just want to emphasize the fact that I am no physicist at all; I am just a teenager, with some school science knowledge. Therefore, be skeptical to my answer. It would be nice if someone would maybe confirm or refute my answer.
If you were to drop a ping pong ball, and a golf ball at the same time, from the same height, with normal air pressure, the golf ball would hit the ground first. Since the ping pong ball is lighter, it will lose more energy from the air resistance, than the golf ball. The air resistance will slow the ping pong ball down more, than it will slow down the golf ball.
However, if you were to do it in a room with no air pressure, air resistance obviously won’t be a factor; the air isn’t there. Therefore, weight is not a deciding factor anymore. I remember seeing a video in class. They were going to drop a bowling ball and a feather from the same height, maybe five meters in the air. But, the room was a vacuum; there was no air in the room. To our surprise, the bowling ball, much heavier than the feather, and the feather, hit the ground simultaneously. There was no air resistance to slow down the feather, so they hit the ground at the same time.
