Yes, I've experienced such an incident when I was only in 7th class. My mother actually always used to tell me what to do in such conditions.
Though I was extremely scared, I pretended I was normal, so no one could come to know that I was lost or scared. Then I just started to think positively and reached out to a shop. I asked for mobile and said to the shopkeeper that I needed to contact someone. I called my dad and he immediately came where I was. And that's all....
No one must come to know that you are lost, he can take advantage of that too....
