There's something called Memory based immunity or Acquired immunity.

Brief explanation

When our body and counters any foreign body or pathogen for the first time it releases the response that is of low intensity take time to recover from that disease and it lasts for long time .

  • But , when we encounter this pathogen second time we easily get recover , sometime symptom of diseases are not even shown by our body this is because our body already has the memory of first encounter with disease carrying pathogen.

Antibodies And Antigen

  • When our body encounter the antigen it releases antibodies in response to those Antigen.
  • And those antibody fight with them and ensure our speedy recovery.

Conclusion

Hence we recover easily even if we are in contact with the virus that is spread in our surrounding because now our body is ready to fight with those pathogens and has some memory and even is ready to encounter with it again.
