If you give the correct answer, I will surely mark you brainliest.

Given above in the figure, AF, BE and CD are parallel lines. Given that AF = 7.5 cm, CD = 4.5 cm, ED = 3 cm, BE = x and AE = y. Find the values of x and y.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider ∆ ACB and ∆ CEF

Both are similar traingles

therefore , AB = x

EF 3

Given :- AB = 7.5 cm and EF = 4.5 cm

7.5 /= x/

4.5 3

7.5 *3/ = x

4.5

22.5/ = x (4.5 * 5 = 22.5)

4.5

5 = x

Consider ∆ BCD and ∆BFE

From BPT theorem, both are similar triangles

x/ = x+3/

y 4.5

y = 5 * 4.5/

8

y = 5*45/

8*10

y = 225/80

y = 45/16
