It is very much relevant for him, as when he gave up being selfish he felt happy and relieved.
- The question has been asked from the story The Selfish Giant.
- When the Giant stared out his window, he saw small children playing in his backyard. But he didn't let them play and built a wall.
- He had discovered that the wall he had erected had blocked the entrance of children, and hence also the arrival of the season of spring.
- Since he had been greedy, he knew spring didn't come. His heart soften on seeing a little boy weeping under a tree in that corner because he couldn't see its limbs.
- The little boy's eyes were teary, and he failed to see the Giant. He gently picked him up, putting him on branch, this is when the tree blossomed, and child affectionately kissed him. His heart was melted by the little guy.
- He gave up his selfishness and made amends by being nice to the kids, and no longer scaring them and also played with them.
