Assuming that room is not having any temperature control, (like Air condition etc)
The room temperature recorded normally a continuous graph over 24 hour time on X - axis and Y Axis having temperature recorded.
It may be slightly low in the morning from 00:00AM till 6AM, then increase to 25 degrees till 6:00PM and then go down by 12:00PM.
This is definitely a continuous graph and a definite sine wave.
