If you had to choose three books to take to a deserted island, which would you pick and why?

Answer:
This is the correct answer for the question.
Explanation:
If a Kindle is a book because it is full of words, then you bet I'm taking my Kindle. And the charge cord I can plug into a coconut.
But you said three books and I guess you could, technically, consider a Kindle more than three books. So here goes.
My favorite book of all time, Godstalk. I love that book so much I take it on every trip. The world building blows me away and the plot is intricate enough to be constantly intriguing, but not so complicated I get lost. I love it so much the spine of my old paperback copy is literally tape. A mass of tape trying desperately to keep the pages together.
Next, Watership Down. Mostly because I have not yet finished memorizing all the tales of the rabbits. It will give me something to do. It might also keep me from insanity, at least until it starts feeding my insanity and I wind up leaning against a tree, shaking, and repeating all the stories in an endless loop.
Finally, the largest book I can find. A compilation of many of Brandon Sanderson's books would be great. The complete Amber series is four inches thick. Something along those lines. The goal of that one is pretty clear. Keep me entertained for as long as possible.
But still, eventually I grow bored. Then I try to memorize each entire book. Then I start collecting insects. Then I search for meaning in the grain of a palm tree's bark. In the end, I die with Godstalk in my hand and the people who find me say, “ at least she died happy.”
