if you have a box in front of you and it has equal number of black and white balls and you are blind folded then in how many attempts can you have 1 pair of same colour balls?

The answer is 3. 1st attempt if it is black 2nd attempt its either white or black if it is black then you have a pair of black balls but if it is white then you attempt again and now if you get a black ball then you have a pair of black balls and if you get white then you have a pair of white balls.
