If you have a series circuit with 5A of current before a 4 Ohm resistor, what is the current after the resistor?

In series connection, the current will be the same through all the resistors

Hence the current after the resistor will be 5A itself

I = 5A

R = 4Ω

V = IR

V = 5*4

V = 20V

The potential difference across the resistor will be 20V
