Solution :-

we know that,

• M1 * D1 = M2 * D2 . { Here, M1 and M2 are numbers of people , and D1 and D2 are number of days.}

Let us assume that, the material will last for x days.

then,

M1 = 8 people

D1 = 6 days.

M2 = 8 + 4 = 12 people .

D2 = x days.

therefore,

→ M1 * D1 = M2 * D2

→ 8 * 6 = 12 * x

→ 48 = 12x

→ x = (48/12)

→ x = 4 days. (Ans.)

Hence, The material will last for 4 days.
