If you have to address a small
gathering inside a room, everyone can hear you at your normal voice. However, if you address the same gathering in the open air, you have to speak loudly so that everyone can hear you. Why?

This so because in open space the sound waves get scattered while in an closed room the waves are focused towards the person addressed.

as room is small so the sound strikes but in open air sound waves have no blockage so voice can be heard loudly..
