If you hit the ball up in against fall down but the moon staying up does not fall down what is the reason

the ball falls down because of the gravitational force of the earth pulls it down while the moon is staying up because of the same gravitation pull of earth and the atmospheric pressure acting on it ,the is the reason all the planets are also revolving around the sun due to gravitational pull of the sun .
