Let the side of square be s

 \:

Formula used :-

 \:

Area of square = OR side×side.

 \:

Given :-

  • Side of area increased by 10%

 \:

Side by increasing 10%

 \:

→ 1+1/100

 \:

New side of square

 \:

→ 1.1s

 \:

Area of a square :-

 \:

→ Side × side (s²)

 \:

→ 1.1s × 1.1s

 \:

→ 1.21s²

 \:

Formula used :-

 \:

Total increase area = New square area - square of area.

 \:

Using the formula :-

 \:

→ 1.21s² - s² = 0.215s²

 \:

Percentage of increased area :-

 \:

→ (0.21s² / s²) × 100

 \:

→ 0.21 × 100

 \:

→ 21%

 \:

Hence, the area of square will increase by 21%
