so your answer is

if we want to increase price by 105% we have to multiply it by 105/100

Ok for example let's think cp of a thing is 100 so if we want to increase it by 105% then --100*105/100=105

So the increase number is 105

so now price increased by 105% = 100(original price)+105(number increased = 205 is the new price.
