this is because on the hard surface our muscles do not absorb the shock which is generated my jumping barefooted on the hard surface due to which the impact does not travels into ground and gives us a injury where as when we jump on the smooth surface the impact or the force generated is distributed in the surface due to which the smooth surface acts like a cushion and we do not get a shock.
