In your mouth, ice absorbs latent heat as well as the heat energy in order to attain your body temperature whereas Water at 0°C absorbs only heat energy to attain your body temperature. ... That's why ice feels colder.

hope it will help you ❣️

After this, the water absorbs heat from the nearby object that is to be cooled. but that of water = average heat alone. Ice at 0°C is more effective in cooling than water at 0°C because latent heart of fusion is hidden inside ice particles which particles of water does not have.
