Solution:

Let -

  • Age of ramu = 4x
  • Age of raghu = 5x

8 years from now -

  • Age of ramu = 4x + 8
  • Age of Raghu = 5x + 8

According to the question,

→ (4x + 8)/(5x + 8) = 5/6

→ 6(4x + 8) = 5(5x + 8)

→ 24x + 48 = 25x + 40

→ 24x - 25x = 40 - 48

→ -x = -8

→ x = 8

As we supposed,

★ Age of ramu = 4x

→ Age of ramu = 4 × 8

→ Age of ramu = 32 years

★ Age of raghu = 5x

→ Age of raghu = 5 × 8

→ Age of raghu = 40 years.

  • Age of Ramu = 4x
  • Age of Raju = 5x

☯ Later 8 years their ages be :

  • Age of Ramu = (4x + 8)

↪ After 8 years the ages of Raju ang Ramu in ratio : 5:6

According to the question,

\bf\:\implies 6(4x + 8) = 5(5x + 8)

\bf\:\implies 24x + 48 = 25x + 40

  • Substitute the value of x.
