Given : location of one point (like 3, 4) and the slope of the line the point is on,

to find : whether we can find other points on the same line

Solution:

Let say Slope of the line   =  m

point it passes through x₁ , y₁

then Equation of the line

is  y - y₁  = m(x - x₁)

now putting Either of x or y  we cant get value of other y = x

putting in above Equation

and cen get any other point located on the line

x₁ , y₁ = ( 3 , 4)

m = 1

y - 4  = 1(x - 3)

=> y = x  + 1

x           y

-3        -2

-2         -1

-1          -0

0          1

1           2

2          3

Hence YES , we can get other points located on that same line
