1. Let the angle be 'x'.

Given, supplementary angles are in the ratio 2:3

⇒ 2x + 3x = 180°

           5x = 180°

          ∴ x = 180° ÷ 5

         ⇒ x = 36°

Substituting x, we get:

2x = 2(36) = 72°

3x = 3(36) = 108°

Hence the two angles are 72° and 108°.

2. Let the angle be 'x'

Given, complementary angles are in the ratio 4:5

∴ 4x + 5x = 90°

          9x = 90°

        ⇒ x = 90° ÷ 9

         ∴ x = 10°

Substituting x, we get:

4x = 4(10) = 40°

5x = 5(10) = 50°

Hence, the two angles are 40° and 50°.

3. 150 + x = 180        [Linear pair]

             x = 180 - 150

          ∴ x = 30°

Hence the angles are x = 30°, 3x = 90°, and 3x = 90°.

4. Given, x = 25°

⇒ 3x = 3(25) = 75°

Now, 75° + (2y + 5)° = 180°        [Linear pair]

                   80 + 2y = 180

                            2y = 180 - 80

                              y = 100 ÷ 2

                            ∴ y = 50°
