If you put Somme sugar crystals in dry tongue,it never taste but if you press it on palate you can sense the taste why?

we can not taste the food on dry tongue. the taste can be identified faster when the tongue is pressed against the palate.then the food substance is pressed against taste bud and enables the taste cells to identify the taste.
