1p+2p+4p+8p...7times

Notice that this is GP.

But I will do it another way.

Solution

1p+2p+4p+8p+16p+32p+64p

Add 64 p with 1p

32p with 2p

4p with 16p

8p will be left alone:(

So we get:

65p+34p+20p+8p

=99p+28p

=127p

The savings is 127p.
