If I see someone being lonely or sad, I would make plans to spend time alone. I will take care of them.  I will try to learn something new about them. I will try to engage them with what makes them feel interesting. Once they feel relaxed, I will find out what bothers them a lot and would definitely try to find a solution to solve their problem. Even though alone time is healthy; spending too much time on loneliness may lead to depression. It is always better to help someone if we find them lonely.
