Step-by-step explanation:

h²=p²+b²

so ,q²=p²+r²

q²=6²+8²

q²=36+64

q²=100

q=√100

q=10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Triangle PQR is right Triangle

and angle Q = 90

and p and r = legs of the Triangle

p= 6 , r=8

To find: q(third side)

According to Pythagoras Theorem:

Hypotenuse^2 = base^2 + altitude^2

(let p= perpendicular/altitude and r = base)

so, q^2= r^2 + p^2

=>8^2 + 6^2

=> 64+36

=> 100

q^2 = 100

q  = \sqrt{100}

q= 10

So 3rd side i.e., q = 10units...

Hope it helps.
