The sun is directly overhead the rays at noon and it are not obscured or slanted.
In the morning or evening, the sun rays aren't direct so that they do not get prominent aspects for increasing the heat during this time.
You feel only the sun's heat at 12 noon whereas at 3PM, sun's heat given off by the earth.

If you stand in the sun, you feel warmer at noon than in the morning or evening. Below is the reason:
- During noontime, the sun is placed vertically over our heads.
- The rays from the vertically angled sun reach us directly and create a much scorching effect on us.
- The rays have to travel a lesser distance and the direct heat makes us feel warmer. This is the reason why noontime is hotter than other times of the day.
- Whereas, in the evenings, when the sun is about to set, the sun is no longer placed vertically above our heads.
- Instead, the rays from the sun are at a slanting angle which makes the rays travel a longer distance to reach us.
- Similarly in the morning, the sun is in a slanting position and we feel cooler.
Hence, if you stand in the sun, you feel warmer at noon than in the mornings or evenings.
