Then X-1/2= 2X-1/2

      ( 2x-1/2)1/2= 2X-1/4

Given that 2X-1/4 = 1/8

                  2X-1    =1/2

                  4X-2    =1

                  4X       =3

                 X=3/4

The answer is 3/4
