if you subtract one by two from number and multiply the result by 1 by 2 you get 1 by 8 find the number.Please tell me it's my exam

Answer:

X - 1/2 = 2x - 1/2 × 1/2 = 1/8

2x - 1 / 4= 1/8

x = 3/4
