If you subtract the sum of two consecutive numbers from the product of the same two numbers, the answer is 5. what are the numbers?

let 1st no. is x

2nd is x+1

x*(x+1)-(x+x+1)=5

 {x}^{2}  + x - (2x + 1) = 5

 {x}^{2}  - x + - 1 = 5

 {x}^{2}  - x - 6 = 0

 {x}^{2}  - 3x  + 2x - 6 = 0

x(x-3)+2(x-3)=0

x=3,-2

hence if natural no. are taken these are 3,4

if it is integer then these are -2,-1
