If you travel from Earth to the nearest star Sirius with the speed of light it will take 18 hours and when you return it will take another 18 hours and after another 18 hours if you come to your home with an intension of dinner, you will find that your family would have already had 6,570 dinners.WHY??!!

Heya user!!

It's amazing!!Really!!I like your thoughts very much.

Let's keep that time duration aside and first focus on why such type of weired incidents occur. We know Einstein said that an object travelling at the speed of light would experience time slowly.Means time will get slower for him!!

Just like the most talkative ex-
Two people (me and you) of same age (10)live in Earth. Now suppose you started a journey for 1 year into deep space in a spacecraft that travels at the speed of light. After 1 year you are 11!!Of course why not!!

THEN WHEN YOU RETURN EARTH TO SEE ME...your expression will be like-What???wait is that you Evanjali?
Lol...the 11 year young lady(you)will be watching a 81 year old women(me)with her grand children!!!

Quite shocking!!Isn't it? I'll tell you why!

To understand this clearly, let's sprinkle a little bit time in our story.
You are standing on Earth with a clock (5.30)in your hand and me with a clock (5.30)near the black hole!!You will watch that my clock is ticking sloooooower than you and I'll observe that your clock is ticking faaaaaaaaaster than mine!!See??How time differs in both cases??

It's because the more massive the object is (Black Hole),The more it curves space-time. AND SPACE AND TIME ARE THE SAME THING!!.Which is why we say that gravity diales space-time and it is known as space-time dilation.

That's why you and me observe time differently and it is the reason you won't be able to catch up with the dinner!!

But again thanks a loooot for your question and hands down to your imagination!!Keep it up

☺☺Have a good day☺☺

ssohanlal473: Thanks a lot
