Answer:
Since the given mirror is a plane mirror, the image will move with same velocity of that of the object.
But to you it is a different case.
The image appears to you with 1.2 m/s in the opposite direction. Hence according to relative velocity, Opposite velocities approaching must be added to your own velocity.
Hence Resultant Velocity of Image you would see is 1.2 + 1.2 = 2.4 m/s.
But if you are an observer at rest seeing all this from a near point, you will see the image to be moving with 1.2 m/s only.
This is the required answer.
Hope it helped !!
Thanks !!

When you walk towards the plane mirror with a speed of 1.2 m/s, the image also moves at the same speed with respect to the mirror. This means that the image is also moving at a speed of 1.2 m/s in the direction opposite to your motion. As you are walking towards the mirror, so the mirror will seem to be moving towards you with the speed 1.2 m/s. As the mirror seems to be approaching you and the image is also moving in the direction opposite to you,
so the resultant speed of the image = 1.2 + 1.2 = 2.4 m/s
Therefore, you will approach your image with a speed of 2.4 m/s.
