if you walk on snow your feet will sink but if you put on skis you can move over the snow easily why

Look fella the reason behind this the relationship between pressure and area

ok we can easily walk on snow with skiis because area and pressure are inversely proportional to each other .If area will increase pressure will decrease.same with the case of skiis they cover more area that's why they don't sink in snow.
