We know that pressure depends on the force and area in contact.
Our feet has low area which increases pressure. This pressure is high for snow to hold. Hence our feet sinks.
Skies have large area in contact which reduces the pressure. Since pressure is reduced, snow is able to hold up our weight and hence we can move.
Hope it helps dear friend ☺️
