• He must be knowledged in Computer science.
• He must known about computer softwares.
• Developing a software or designing it, etc.
• He would be a great software engineer if he knows about programming.
• Programming is a branch of computer science.
• You must know coding that's programming is computer languages and programming language.
• You must known about the concept of Data base.
• You must know about the concept of Cloud computing.

Some programming language that you must known:

• Java.
• C++
• Python.

If you want to go for software engineering field then after class 10th you should opt for SCIENCE stream and choose one optional subject apart from Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics and English.The optional subject list includes COMPUTER SCIENCE,PHE,HINDI,ECONOMICS,...and more.I will suggest you to opt for computer science subject as this will help you in Btech course and you will have some extra knowledge of programming at that time.
