So often, we let the present slip away, allowing time to rush past unobserved and unseized, and squandering the precious seconds of our lives as we worry about the future and ruminate about what's past. Yes, you should have goals, objectives and dreams for the future. Yes, you should take action, each and every day, to bring you closer to creating the life you really desire. Striving to achieve more and create better motivates you and gives you a desire to keep pushing your boundaries and limitations but; unless you learn to live in the present moment, you will not learn to enjoy all of the rewards you achieve. As Manav said:
“Don’t miss all the beautiful colors of the rainbow looking for that pot of gold.”
Productivity is not about doing as much as you possibly can. It is about taking the actions necessary to achieve your goals, realise your vision and create the life you really want. Whether that requires a great deal of work or very little is a moot point. In fact, a highly productive person will often complete less work than a non-productive person because he doesn't waste his time doing things which don’t add value to his work and life.
