if you want to lift a box with 500N pulling towards the gravity. How much force will you need to hold it. If your friend is carrying 270N then how much you have to carry to lift it

(i) The minimum force required to lift the box should be equal to the force of gravity i.e 500N .

(ii) The required force to apply to lift the box = 500N - 270 N = 230 N
