First of all, your question seems to be a bit invalid because people in England during the colonial period had little or no voice in decision making beacuse it was ruled only by monarch.
But still, I would not support colonialisation. I would support only expansion of empire chiefly through peaceful means and agreements. I would support expansion of empire to unite the world and to bring a larger empire for the monarch to rule. Expansion of empire does not mean colonialisation. In colonialisation, the empire exploits people and natural resources for it personal benefits. People are ill-treated and have no rights. Colonialisation will have problems in future as people will rebel against the monarch and economy of colonies would decline (future beacuse I am in last now). After independence, the colony would face several problems and would lack natural resources for economic growth and development.
