If I was from Britain I
would support colonization because:
1. It was beneficial for Britain.
2. It helped to increase the extent of power of the British.
3. It provided raw materials to the British industries and markets for its manufactured goods.
As an Indian I would oppose colonization because:
1. India came under foreign control. It lost its independence.
2. It drained the economic resources of the country for the benefit of the British.
3. Indians occupied lower posts in the army and were paid much less than the foreigners. They were not given higher posts.
4. The people were exploited.
