If you were given the responsibility to ensure that children of the slums have a life of mental and physical
freedom, what would be the first few things you would do towards the same?

The question is answered below-
1. Families and children living in the slum areas are devoid of the usual social services due to their condition of poverty. Children are impoverished and some of the major problems that they face are - poverty, lack of education, cleanliness and hygiene issues, and others.
2. If I was given the responsibility to ensure their upliftment, some of the basic steps I would implement are listed below-
a. Free education initiated by the government should be mandatory for all the children. Many children work at several places where the conditions are not suitable to give the children a pleasant working experience. They are often forced to work to support their family. The mental pressure along with the unfavorable working conditions results in decreasing mental well-being. Education and knowledge can secure their future.
b. educating them about their rights as a human in society.
c. Trying to uplift the economic condition of the families by supporting them with employment opportunities.
d. Organizing health camps to aware them of the importance and necessity of maintaining hygiene and a healthy body.
